Lawrence (Larry) and Willetta Rhodes have been parishioners at St. Peter Claver/Precious Blood for nearly 60 years. They have been involved in virtually all aspects of parish life – bingo, Parish Council, Finance Council, worship, catechesis, Knights of Peter Claver, and more – and they continue to respond to any parish need. Currently, Larry is a lector and serves on the Finance Council, Willetta is a sacristan and a member of the Ministry Commission, and together they serve on the Elders’ Council, freely sharing their wisdom by providing valuable counsel to our pastor. They have also provided mentorship and inspiration to many youth in the parish. Willetta and Larry are among the most respected, and loved, members of our parish community. They truly reflect the Spirit of St. Peter Claver Catholic Community – “chosen to be sent!”
The Parish Spirit Award Ceremony was held on Wednesday, April 28 at Sacred Heart Church. You can watch a recording of the ceremony by clicking on the button below.
